The AEX EXPO Combine made its way to Florida, bringing together some of the state’s top rising football talent for a day of elite competition, verified testing, and high-level evaluations.
From explosive playmakers to technically sound prospects, the event was loaded with athletes who proved they belong on college radars.
Here are a few standout performers from the combine:
Standout Performers
⭐ Phillip Cushingberry (@Pcush08)
5’7” | 140 lbs | DB
St. Petersburg High School (FL)

Cushingberry showcased a strong technical foundation throughout the day. He plays fast, uses his hands effectively in coverage, and consistently stayed disciplined in drills. A quick, fundamentally sound defensive back with upside.
⭐ Kayo Derezendre (@kdererende) 2027
5’11” | 172 lbs | QB
Coral Glades High School (FL)

Derezendre proved to be a true dual-threat. He impressed with his ability to create plays using his strength, while also displaying power and agility as a runner. His versatility makes him a problem for defenses. We look forward to evaluate him more in action for Coral Glades HS this season.
⭐ Noah Patell (@noahpatell2028) 2028
5'9" | 150lbs | WR
Durant High School (FL)

Patell was one of the shiftiest and quickest athletes evaluated all day. He ran an impressive 4.5 in the 40-yard dash, but his game speed stood out even more on the field.
His route running is advanced for his class, consistently creating separation and showing the ability to win through contact in 1-on-1 reps. A high-upside prospect to watch closely this offseason.
⭐ Jayden Shropshire (@youngshiner2222) 2027
5'5" | 175 lbs | ATH
South Dade Senior High School (FL)

Shropshire was one of the most explosive athletes at the combine. He tested well in both the 40-yard dash and agility drills, showcasing elite quickness and footwork.
In competition, he separated himself with double moves, and pure speed—consistently winning reps in 1-on-1 situations.
⭐ Dabens Adonus Jr. (@dabensadonus18)

Cape Coral High School (FL)

Adonus Jr. stood out as one of the most polished defensive backs at the event. His communication, technique, and football IQ were evident throughout the day.
He combined strong footwork with impressive recovery speed, making him a reliable and disciplined presence in the secondary.
The Takeaway
The Florida stop of the AEX EXPO Combine once again proved why these events are a key part of the recruiting pipeline. With verified testing, real competition, and detailed evaluations, athletes had the opportunity to separate themselves in front of scouts and evaluators.
As the offseason continues, expect several of these names to gain traction with college programs.
