Greg Wallace enters his 25th season as the head baseball coach at his alma mater in 2022 and it has been an era of unprecedented success. Since assuming the reigns of the Vikings prior to the 1997-98 school year, he has guided the Vikings to the top 16 single-season win totals in Augustana history. In 21 of his 23 full seasons, Augustana has won at least 25 games. In 2014, he guided the Vikings to their first CCIW regular season title since 1974 and his 2016 team won both the regular season and tournament championships in the league.

Wallace’s 2021 club went 35-9, equaling the second-most wins in school history, and finished 25-7 and second in the CCIW. The team’s overall (.795) and conference (.781) winning percentages were the program’s best since 2000.
