Five star, Houston native Keon Edwards decided Monday afternoon to end his basketball recruitment early.
The 2021 Small Forward, who was being heavily recruited by Alabama, Arizona State, and many more ultimately decided to commit to Dave Leitao, and the Blue Devils.
Edwards stated, "I just felt like I had a strong relationship with the coaching staff and I wanted a school that I felt like would help me reach my full potential and get me to the next level," Edwards said. "After several long talks with coach [Dave] Leitao and others members of the coaching staff I felt like DePaul was the place."
He took his official visit just two days before committing on 25th of January.
Edwards currently ranks as the No. 43 prospect and the No. 11 small forward in the 2021 According to Top247 player rankings.
DePaul's recruiting class now ranks No. 2 overall in the 2021 recruiting class rankings with the addition of Keon Edwards. To go with Edwards, DePaul already holds a pledge from local top 100 guard Ahamad Bynum.
