Ohio State received an important verbal commitment for men’s basketball today as Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary’s 2021 guard Malaki Branham picked the Buckeyes over Louisville, Xavier, Alabama, Michigan and others.
The high-end four-star shooting guard is Chris Holtmann’s top-rated commitment ever. He’s ranked No. 27 overall and is No. 1 in Ohio.
The Buckeyes had been recruiting him for 2.5 years, and he’d been their top target for over a year.
