Alex Tchikou commits to Alabama

Alex Tchikou has committed to play at Alabama. Tchikou chose Alabama over other schools such as Florida State, Illinois, and Oregon. Tchikou is a 6’11 French big man who recently reclassified to the 2020 class when he was originally part of the 2021 class. Tchikou said his goal was to enter the 2022 draft and he thought playing two years in college was better than playing one year in college and one in high school. Tchikou definitely has the potential to play in the NBA. He is currently ranked 82 by 247Sports and 36 by Rivals.

As a player Tchikou mostly plays power forward, but he has guard like skills. Tchikou is very tall, but he still needs to put on some weight as he only weighs around 200 pounds. Even though he is very skinny he is still strong. Tchikou also has very, very long arms. To go along with this Tchikou is also, an extremely good athlete, and runs the court well for someone his size. Offensively he is a really good shooter from behind the arc (although he is also prone to taking bad shots). Tchikou has to be able to play inside the perimeter more, but that will most likely happen as he gets stronger.

Overall Tchikou will most likely play at least two years in college. His success will come as he matures on the court and becomes stronger and more skilled.
